The level, form and area of the lake Grüner See (altitude: ~770m) - engl. Green Lake - oscillates greatly, depending on the underground water level. This walk was done in Autumn, when the level is at its lowest.
Around 2015 the lake virally gained popularity on FB and in 2016 it has been voted by the public to be the most beautiful lake in the country. Unfortunately that was the end of the nature tranquility. Nowadays it is hard to find a sunny moment without hundreds of tourists all around...
In Spring it is one single lake - the most of the paths around the lake, including the bridge and some benches are under the water. Meanwhile I have been there again: Here you can walk around this lake in Spring, when the level of water is high.
