Beschrijving

Lake Segrino is a small pre-alpine Lombard lake located between the municipalities of Canzo, Longone al Segrino and Eupilio. It has a narrow and elongated shape and is considered the cleanest lake in Europe by virtue of its underground sources and the absence of pollution from industry or excessive tourist exploitation. The vegetation is characterized by water lilies, reeds, black alders, willows and poplars and there are over 100 species of birds including the mallard, the gray heron, the kingfisher and the green woodpecker.
