First segment (one third of the distance) of a larger clockwise tour through the Hürtgenwald forest in Germany, Eifel region. Sunny weather. Dirt roads, forests, meadows, hills and valleys. This first segment starts in the village Simonskall in the Valley of the Kallbach (stream). Biking to Peterberg at 492 m, through the Peterbachquellgebiet, to the highest point 572 m, and the Laubwald forest, Then further through the Hürtgenwald to the Belgian border and the Vennbahn, a railroad track, now a cycle path. Ending close to the village of Schmithof. With markers every (few) kilometer(s) (and some information on the surroundings). Footage June 2022
