Travel from the Tasman Sea on the West Coast of New Zealand to the Pacific Ocean on the East Coast in a series of 7 rides of about 40 km each
Starting at the causeway on the Grey River, travel though blaketown to the main road. You bypass the main part of Greymouth on this ride. Continue south to the Kumara Junction, on the way you will see parts of the Wilderness Trail which is a cycleway that travels from Greymouth though Kumara and down to Ross (100 km). Finally ride up the Kumara Straight. When I was a kid I used to cycle up this road and I thought it was the longest straight road in the world. Then I went over to Christchurch and discovered what long straight roads really were. On part 6 of this journey you will discover these for your self.
