I had a request to do the ride from Milford to the top of the pass as a single ride so here it is . This is the longest climb I have found so far in New Zealand. 12.83 km 887 m.
The last 1.2 km is through the Milford Tunnel which continues uphill and you popout to get magnificent views of the Fiordland National park for a few seconds any way.
If I add the down hill and stitch 10 of them together you will have a vEverest that you can do for fun
