Fjæreveien 185, 4885 Grimstad, Norway
9HC7+VC Grimstad, Norway
Step into Norway’s rich history and breathtaking nature on this 100% trail run adventure! π Starting at the historic Fjære Church, we weave through ancient paths, forests, and lakes on our way to the old railway tracks climb.
Our journey begins at Fjære Church, a stunning stone church built in the 12th century. This medieval landmark has stood for centuries, witnessing the changing times of the Grimstad region. From here, we hit the trails, winding through lush forests before taking on the steep ascent to Trollaheia, a rugged highland offering beautiful scenery.
After a rewarding climb, we descend towards the serene shores of Rore Lake, a peaceful spot where the landscape opens up. The trail then leads us across historic railway tracks, once part of an old transport route connecting small Norwegian villages. These tracks are now removed and become a popular hiking route.
With the climb past the railway tracks ahead, the adventure only gets more exciting! Stay tuned for Part 2, where we continue the journey toward the summit of Grandkongen (Kollen).
