Its category is grade 1a sp (very difficult). Andorra Cycling route Arcalís has an average gradient of 6.9% with a difference in level of 724 metres over a distance of 10.5 kilometres. It was on these severe ramps where Ulrich won the stage that gave him victory in the Tour de France in 1997.
