Description

The Strabrechtse Heide is a vast heathland in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands, known for its wide-open landscapes, shifting sands, and tranquil atmosphere. During late summer, the heath transforms into a breathtaking sea of purple when the heather (Calluna vulgaris) comes into full bloom. The rolling fields of violet stretch as far as the eye can see, contrasting beautifully with patches of pine forest, small fens, and drifting sand dunes. The soft, purple tones give the area a dreamlike quality, especially under the warm glow of sunrise or sunset.
