Ascent to the port of Envalira, 1st Category Special Dificulty (hors catégorie) Port.
It is classified as 1a sp (very difficult). The Port d’Envalira is the mountain pass with the highest road in the Pyrenees. Cycling Route 18 has an average uphill gradient of 5.2%, with sections of 7.5% and a total difference in level of 1,345 metres and a distance of 26 kilometres. This route goes around the parishes of Escaldes-Engordany, Encamp and Canillo.
