This section has two parts. Firstly, you ride from Playa Blanca to Yaiza. It’s gently uphill most of the way but it is normally also into wind. The combination of the two make it a tough stretch.

From Yaiza you start the iconic climb into the Timanfaya National Park. Amazing lava fields and moonscapes. A fast decent brings you to Mancha Blanca and Tinguatón.

In the next section you continue the journey north to the old capital of Teguise.
