In part one you start along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen dodging the holiday makers as you follow promenade along the coast. 

However, you are soon heading inland and on the first climb up to Tias, Concil and onto the main road through La Geria (The wine district).  In the next section you head south to Playa Blanca.
