Ride across the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge in the Southbound then in the Northbound direction. Starting from the H. Dana Bower rest area, commonly known as the Golden Gate Bridge overlook on the north end of the Bridge on Highway 101, you will ride over the Bridge, in both directions, and back to the rest area and its Vista Point. The statue in the center of the rest area is the Lone Sailor
As you will notice during this ride, the bridge is not flat, far from it, however did you know that it was almost flattened in a 1987 near-disaster event celebrating the bridge's 50th anniversary?
