Quanzhou West Lake is located in the northwest of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, adjacent to Qingyuan Mountain. It covers an area of about 100 hectares and has a water area of 82.28 hectares. It is the largest artificial lake in Fujian Province. West Lake Park attracts many tourists with its colorful and shimmering scenery, which complements the beautiful mountain scenery of Qingyuan Mountain and forms a beautiful picture.

Quanzhou West Lake was originally a low-lying plain area known as "Duanjia Lake" or "Northwest Ocean". It has long been used as a flood detention area in the city, mainly for drainage and flood regulation. Until 1996, the Quanzhou Municipal Government began to transform it into a park, which was carefully designed and constructed, ultimately forming the current West Lake Park. The Park won the "China Habitat Environment Example Award" in 2001, further enhancing its popularity and influence.
