Anniesland to Kirkintilloch
The plan for this video was to film the complete reverse of this journey along the Forth and Clyde towpath from my home town of Falkirk to Glasgow (about 40 km) however just after Kirkintilloch my GoPro Hero camera died and I could not get it started again despite changing the battery and replacing the SD memory card.
The complete route is flat, along the Forth and Clyde canal apart from one very small piece at Stockingfield Junction where the towpath switches from the Southside of the canal to the Northside and that involves a short downhill and uphill ride under the canal. The towpath was reasonably quiet this day until I hit Kirkintilloch just at the end of the school day when it gets quite busy. The video was filmed in October just as Autumn was in full swing so there are quite a few dead leaves around.
