It is also an important part of the West Street Historical and Cultural District. 泉州西街于唐开元年间形成；于唐天祐二年（905年）延伸；于民国12年（1923年）改建马路。 Quanzhou West Street was formed during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty; it was extended in the second year of Tianyou in the Tang Dynasty (905 AD); and it was converted into a road in the 12th year of the Republic of China (1923). 泉州西街东起钟楼，西至城西路，全长1700米，宽10米。 Quanzhou West Street starts from the Bell Tower in the east and ends at Chengxi Road in the west, with a total length of 1,700 meters and a width of 10 meters.
