Description
Ride starts at Warkworth castle entrance, built in the 12th century,.This is worth a visit if you ever come to Northumberland. We head down into the village and over the fortified bridge, then up and onto a bike path to Alnmouth. We head through Lesbury and up a climb passed RAF Boulmer site on the right hand side, which is home to Aerospace Surveillance and Control System Force Command, Control: We go downhill to skirt by Longhoughton, turning right to keep on outskirts of RAF Boulmer and where the Sea King helicopter search and rescue was for 40 years,it stopped in 2015.We pass a Phantom jet at the entrance to the site. Heading into and through Boulmer. We continue and head into Alnmouth, often used in Films and TV series. The plan was to continue back to Warkworth but a puncture put pay to that so ended it with a view over to Alnmouth from the east side.Temperature during this ride was 89* F ( 32 °c) Enjoy.
