There is a new version of the FTP test in the Coaching section. I recommend that you use the new Coaching version instead.
Make sure that you use this video in DISCOVERY mode to update your estimated FTP on Kinomap.
If you use this video in CHALLENGE mode and the video is sped up, you will not get the full 20 mins all out workout needed for the FTP estimate calculation.
You should check your FTP using this test at least every other month during the season. Although not important as a value in itself, the FTP is an important parameter used to tailor your training load and intensity to your fitness level.
Note that the gradients in this video are modified versions of the actual road profile. They were designed to make them better suited for the specific requirements of this test.
