Mesocco Castle is a ruined castle in the municipality of Mesocco of the Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. Early mediaeval public castle with its own chapel, systematically developed in the 11th century and under the auspices of the Lords of Sax in the 12th century and the beginning of the 15th century. After being sold to the Trivulzio family of Milan 1480 late mediaeval expansion. 1526 evacuation of the fortress and orderly dismanteling thereof under pressure of the Three Leagues.Considered impregnable the castle was never conquered.
