Threave to Kirkcudbright

Hot on the heels of my weeks holiday on the Isle of Harris I then took a week-long break based in the lovely rural town of Dalbeattie In Dumfriesshire. Dalbeattie is well known for having some fantastic mountain bike trails - many accessible from the town itself - but I chose to take my road bike and had some fabulous rides in some gorgeous sunny weather. I'm still suffering from random freezes of my GoPro Hero 9 camera - going to invest in a new memory card soon - so the starts and finishes of the rides are not always as I planned them!

This ride (parts one and three are here and here) starts just outside Castle Douglas and winds its way South through some lovely rural farmland before reaching the lovely art town of Kirkcudbright - which is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

This ride is number two of three. Ideally, I would have liked to have joined them to make one longer video but unfortunately, GoPro decided otherwise. 😒
