Description

Crow Road to Carron Valley

One of my favourite climbs is up over the Campsie Fells via the Crow Road from Lennoxtown. On a clear day, the views to the West are tremendous with no built-up areas between the ride and Loch Lomond. The climb is not particularly steep (10% being the greatest incline) It's just a long slow climb over 5kms. At 11kms, this ride gives you the pleasure of the downhill section to the Carron Valley once you've crested the Campsies. The downhill road condition is not that great just now with many potholes and surfaces that are in need of repair so I was taking it a little bit slower. But you're quite safe on this virtual ride!
