Part 4/6: From Lunzer See to St. Georgen am Reith Teil 4/6: Vom Lunzer See nach St. Georgen am Reith - Description / Beschreibung: The famous Ybbstal bike path is on a major part between Waidhofen and Lunz running on the former railway line which you can see quite a bit because of the way how it goes through the mountains. You can see that most prominently in Opponitz where the bike path goes through a former railway tunnel. A early morning start to a wonderful but long tour from Waidhofen via Oppenitz, Hollenstein - Göstling to Lunz (and the Lunzer Lake) and then back via Göstling, Große Kripp Opponitz, Waidhofen Allhartsberg back to Neufurth with some variation via Allhartsberg which i find nicer for a trip then the original path through Kematen - but mostly also on the Ybbstal Bike Path. Der bekannte Ybbstal Radweg ist im Bereich zwischen Waidhofen und Lunz großteils am auf der alten Bahntrasse verlaufend. Das sieht man auch sehr offensichtlich an vielen Stellen aber am besten in Opponitz wo man durch einen Tunnel fährt. Eine früh morgentlicher start zu einer wunderschönen aber auch sehr langen Tour von Waidhofen via Oppenitz, Hollenstein - Göstling nach Lunz (und den Lunzer See) und dann zurück via Göstling, Große Kripp, Opponitz, Waidhofen Allhartsberg nach Neufurth großteils auch über den Ybbstalradweg jedoch über Allhartsberg da ich die Strecke schöner finde als die Fahrt durch Kematen.
