Zagreb 🚶 Downtown

Stride along the N-S axes of Zagreb, Croatia's capital. Start from my old school yard and continue among the old family houses, pass by the University computing center (low white building), followed by the former Central committee of the Croatian Communist party building ("the cubicle"). Join joggers on the embankment of the Sava river and reach the Liberty bridge. Turn northwards towards the town center, soon to pass by the National Library building. Walk between the boulevard fountains. See the Concert hall (with an oval roof), the Croatian memorial place (glass brick wall) and the Town hall. Pass through the underground passage, reaching the main railway station. Continue through a park with the Arts Pavilion, amid houses with a Viennese flair, soon to reach the main square. Walk through an empty market place and finish near the cathedral.
